The night of J-rock

On Tuesday the 2nd of July 2013 some students from Reremoana went to J-rock held at Aotea center. The objective of this was to send a message out to the audience to stop animal curtly.

Our performance was based on Animal curtly. First the ring master (Zion) captured the wild animal and forces them into his circus, then protesters interrupt and convent the ring master to set the wild animals free. After that Zion lets the wild animals free and then all wild animals, protester and main characters come in for the last but not least paradise dance.

Our costumes were based on our animals. Our animals were; Bears, Tigers, Monkeys, Elephants, Birds, Protesters and main characters. Bears were wearing a dark brown suit with a light brown colour around the tummy area and some bear ears. Some of the tigers were wearing white and black strip suits with a hat and the other tigers were wearing black and brown strip suit with a hat as well. The monkeys were wearing a light brown suit with a long tail and some monkey ears. The Elephants were wearing a grey suit with a tail and a mask shaped like a elephants face. The birds were wearing bright colours for there feathers and a bright colour mask for there face. The protesters were wearing a dark green and a light yellow t-shrit with a sign that might say "STOP ANIMAL CURLTY". The main characters (Zion and Eden). Eden was wearing a black long sleeve t-shirt and a bright red skirt. Zion was wearing long, silk black pants with a red straight jacket

The awards were choreography, costumes, characters, stage use, drama, visual enhancement, sound track, design, set and skills.

The night was fun and very successful. We ended up getting 8 awards out of 9.

  1. Leslie,

Now if I hadn't gone to watch 'J-Rock' your story was perfect describing the Event. Excellent job!
