On the way to Mars- By Gemma

"10, 9, 8 , 7 , 6, 5," The counter sounded. "I can't believe we're going to make a world first discovery!" Phil said excitedly. "3, 2, 1." They blasted off in a rush of smoke. Phil, the leader of astronauts, is tearing up in his blue eyes. His strong neck tensing. "We are in space now. Flick the switch!!" Phil commands.

Phil and April have been floating in space for months. Phil has grown a beard that matches his bushy brown hair. Boom, bang, boom!! Meteors are smashing the spaceship. "Warning, warning, warning!" The spaceship's voice control's saying continuously. Suddenly, out of nowhere a green figure in a sparkly silver suit appears on the window of the spaceship. "Bing bong Bing. Billabong dong." It looks small and cute. "Awww." April says admiringly. Pow! The cute alien pulls out a flash space gun. BOOM! He shatters the window. Bits of glass is now floating in the spaceship. "It's a raid!" Phil screams. "We have to abandon the ship!"

Both ,April and Phil, jump from the space craft. Not thinking about it at all. They now float face to face with a giant, human killing alien ship. All these little green things scramble out and float to April and Phil's space ship. April and Phil start breast stroking  the rest of the way to Mars. There is not long to go until they reach this beastly planet.

"Phil, Phil. Come in Phil!" A voice is saying to Phil from his earpiece. "There is no signal on your spaceship. Phil, where are you!?" "Thank goodness!" Says Phil. "Aliens have raided our spaceship and we had to abandon the ship!" Panic starts to rise in Phil's voice. He starts pleading for NASA to come and get him and April. "We will come." NASA starts saying. "But you do relise it's going to be 8 months ?" "We don't care. SAVE OUR SOULS!" "They are going to save us April. I'm extremely hungry."

Those few words were the only words both astronauts said until it was the last thing they ever said.
