Exposure- Personal Inquiry- Kyle
Learn How To Cook/Bake Advances Meals
Or Food
What: I would really like to be able to cook meals for my family. I love mexican food like Tacos and other spicy foods. I would also like to learn more Maori ways of cooking and preparing food. Because I have a lot of Maori in me, I believe its important to learn more about it. It could also come in handy in the future. Learning more about Maori and Mexican food could open pathways when I get to high school and so on

Why: Like I said before, because Im got some Maori in me, it would be great if I could learn something about my culture. I also don't know much background for both Maori and Mexican food so it would be all new to me. I choose food as a inquiry because I love cooking anything but I don't know much about; Whats in food, what it dose to us, the backgrounds of different foods and so on. I would also like to find out healthier ways of cooking and finding natural foods.

The 2013 Year 7 And 8 Camp Report- Kyle
From the 22th to the 26th of October, the year 7 and 8 students went on there yearly camp to Peter Snells Youth Village.
The first day of camp started with a early start. 8:30am was the time we needed to be at the hall ready to leave. Around 11:00am we got to the camp ground. We had Morning tea and Lunch then we were ready to start Air rifles. It turns out I'm not bad at shooting because I hit the tins every time I had a shot at it. After Air rifles we went to Rock climbing. It was really hard to grip on to something and because the grip holds move as well. On my 2nd try I got to the top. When we finished we had to go to the camping group to cook our Dinner and set up our tent's ready for tonight. Our Dinner was really nice and getting our tent's were really easy getting set up. Later that night, all teams did the burma trail then cooked bread over the camp fire. Then lights were out.
Wednesday 23rd October 2013
At 6:45am we all got up getting ready for our morning run. After that we had Breakfast then we had our first activity of the day. Camp cooking was my first activity for me. We cooked pancakes on hobo stoves. It took a while for them to warm up but when they did, they were not bad pancakes at all. After that we did the Initiative course. It had some hard and easy bit in the course. We did really well because we worked as a team. After that we had Lunch then went off to Archery. I got off to a really good start but a few people got a bull eye's that helped them along the way. After that we went to the hardest activity on the camp grounds, Abseiling. I ended up really enjoying it. I went down the wall 3 times in the end. The first part is the hardest. Thats the bit where you go off the edge. That night we had the talent quest. It was a load of fun. My group came 2nd.
Thursday 24th October 2013
Today was the day we went to Snowplanet to learn how to ski or snowboard. I had chosen to do snowboarding because its a little bit harder than skiing. By the end of the day, I was a real pro. We got there at 10:00am and stayed there until 4:00pm. It was a awesome day at Snowplanet. When we got back to camp, we got ready for the Y Games. Basically the Y Games are events that you might not do everyday. All the stuff you do is gross but fun at the same time.
Friday 25th October 2013
Today was our very last day at camp. It was also our pack-up day. After we packed all our bags and cleaned our cabins, We had our top class event. I did the air rifles and I hit the tin on my 2nd shot. But room 14 won in the end. Before we know it, we were back on a bus back to school.
