How netball works

Netball is a popular sport that is played all over the world. Netball consists of the following; rules, skills , running, jumping and lots more. The aim of the game is to get the ball from one side of the court to the goal where your GS and GA will shoot the ball into the hoop. This will give your team a goal the team that has the most points will win the match of netball.

Netball is a competitive sport that is played mostly by girls. Girls mostly play netball but boys can choose if they want to compete in the sport. A netball court  is split into thirds at one side of the court there is a goal third,in the middle there is a center third and the last third is also a goal third. In netball there are many different places where you need to be. There are also many different positions such as; C,WA,WD,GA,GD,GK and GS. It depends on which position you have on have on where you have to go. GK,GD,WD and C are defense and GS,GA,WA and C are the attackers. In the center third there is a circle that you step into to start the game the buzzer will go off and you will start the game.

To play netball you need to have curtain skills. You need to be able to jump,run,catch a round ball,pass change direction, know how to pivot and you need to be able to collaborate with people. In netball you are only allowed 7 players on the court at a time this is where leadership comes in you need to pick the best people to play the right positions . In netball there are many rules you need to follow.

To play netball you need to know the rules. One important rule you need to follow is not to step, pivot so you don't step. There are many more rules you need to follow like; held ball (you are only allowed to hold onto the ball for 3 seconds), offside (when you go over a line your not ment to), re-play ball ( when you bounce the ball more than once), contact ,obstruction and others.

In conclusion netball is a fun game to play.It helps you to get fit and helps you with curtain skills. Try netball some time. In my point of view I LOVE netball!
