Why we should get rid of the empty waste of space outside the Kereru team block! - By KAITLYN (persuasive writing)
Do you want a space for learning and a place to talk to your friends? Out side Room 11 and 14 there is a wasteland (a grass space that nobody uses). Older students of our school would like to makeover this place. We would like to replace it with some brand new concrete tables, to make this possible we will need your help and your permission. Despite what people say I strongly believe that we need to get this wasteland replaced!
Firstly, no one uses the piece of land that is there out side the Kereru team classes. By just having gross there the children of our school end up walking through it, they bring muddy footprints into the class room. We could just concrete it and put concrete tables there. Then there will be no more muddy footprints on the carpets inside the classrooms, therefore the school won't have to replace the carpets with the money from the gala. Its time to put something useful in the wasteland.
Secondly of all re-doing the land outside room 11 to 14 is a great learning opportunity. If we get this space, we could use it as another learning area for example if we wanted to go outside and finish our work we could. Also if we could use it when other class come into our room and it gets to crowded we could just go outside and use the concrete tables. If we make over this place it will not go to waste for sure!
If this land gets transformed the year 7&8s could use it to get away from the annoying little kids. Usually at eating time the little kids scream, run and chuck stuff. The 7&8s would like this space to become there eating area and a place where they could talk without the little kids being annoying! having this table there would be a great space for the year 7&8s to eat.
In conclusion I strongly believe we should get rid of this wasteland and makeover it with the concrete tables. You should take this persuasive piece of writing into consideration.
THANK YOU!
