from the 22th of october to the 26 of october the year 7 and 8 from the reremoana school (room 11+14) at peter snell youth village
the first day of camp started at 8.30 in the hall ready to leave while waiting for the buss we had to wait and sit together in our camp groups ,my group was :the mischief monkey's with `in our group emily,Callahan,max,Jari,Shayle,Lucy,Waldo,Mikyla. ,around 11:00am we arrived at peter snell youth village ,the first thing we did at the camp ground was having morning tea,after morning tea we had to bring our stuff to the cabins and make our cabin ready for tonight when we come back for activities and dinner ,after putting our stuff away we had some free time to go outside and discover the area were we where aloud to go,after we had our free time we had to go back to the deck so Mr Fourie could tell us witch activities we are gone do ,on the first day of camp we had rock-climbing and camp cooking on hobo stoves
rockclimbing: rockclimbing was our first activity and was also one of the hardest activity's we did at camp cause the little rocks you had to stand on were moving and that makes the rockclimbing even harder .but me and my camp group had lots of fun at rockclimbing ,sometimes we laughed at each other and other times we supported each other and helpt each other making it to the top!.
camp cooking:camp cooking was our second activity and i think the most taste full one :-)
with camp cooking we had to make mini pancakes on hobo stoves and that was fun because we were aloud to eat the pancakes after words and that was delicious ,me and callahan maked perfect pancakes and had a very nice lunch on the first day of camp :-)
on the first day of camp we did already so much fun stuff and already two fun activity's
in the evening group 1,2,3 had to go set up their tents for the one night camping in tents ,i was in a tent with Nicholas and we were a good team and set up our tent in less than 6 min ,the only thing me and Nicholas didn't see is that we put our tent on a peace of grass down hill,so we didn't have a good sleep that night .
also that night we did the burma trail in the forest and that was fun because the parents and Mr Fourie were hiding in the tree's and standing next to us in the burma trial and scaring and screaming to us like they were ghosts ,the fun thing about it was that they also scared me a lot
that evening we also had to make our own dinner and the hard thing was that we had given one bag of sausages,one bag with bread and 3 different liquid in containers ,my group had,chili beans,corn,bake beans, me and my group had mixed the corn and the chili beans and that tasted very very very nice
so we mixed the sauce and then we baked the sausages ,after the sausages were finished,the hole group enjoyed eating the nice sausage sizzle,after nice dinner we did the disses,then after we did the disses it was almost sleeping time so we did what we had to do and went to bed
when we waked up the first thing we did was dressing ,after that we put our stuff away and started packing up the tent after we where finished packing up our stuff we were ready to go have breakfast
for breakfast we had cornflakes with yogurt and sugar ,and that was very nice .....before breakfast i also learnt a new song to thank the lord for the food
after breakfast we did had time to have a shower or just play for al little while
after half a hour we came back in our camp group on the deck
were Mr Fourie told us witch activity's we were gone do next,my group did the following activity's
Absailing,innovative course,archery,and.......air rifles
Absailing
absailing was the first activity what me and my group did and i think the coolest one was absailing because in the begin i got a freight from how high it was because it was high,but when you go down and when you are just hanging there on the air ...that was just a amazing feeling and me and my hole group enoyd doing it
innovative course
innovative course is all about team work,our team did really good in innovative course because we had one good leader:emily ,and we were all listening to her if she wanted to say something ....
innovative course was fun and challenging.
Archery:
me and my group did archery as our 5 th activity ,and archery was also a very cool activity ,
but it was also very hard to hit the board because there was a lot of wind and it was really hard to get a good shot out of it ,but still .....it was a lot of fun
rifle shooting
rifle shooting was really cool and a lot of friends in my group
even i wasn't that good in rifle shooting i still enjoyd it and i am shore if i can do it again i would do it because it feel so cool when you had that gun in you hands and when you fired the bullet to the tin cans
that was a fantastic day again and today i did even more cool stuff than day one
that night i also had such a dilicious dinner again and i really look forwards to the next day becuase on day three we go to snow planet. see you tomorrow :-)
finally the day has come that we go to snow planet
i personal think snow planet was the best activity from the hole camp
because racing down the hill snow splashing into your face ,and the fun thing from the snowboarding was the falling and getting up again and going higher up the mountain into when your at the top and your racing down so fast and on the end you still go that fast that you almost cant stop and that on the end you fall in the snow and then you get the feeling that you want to do it again ,and we were aloud to go again ....we had the hole day to go up and down the hill and fall into the snow and have fun with your hole class that is why i want to thank Mr Fourie and Mr Munro for the special and cool day they give us ,thank you :-)
after all the funn we had at snow planet ..there also came a end to all the fun we had at four Pm we went back to peter snell youth village and had again ,a lovely dinner after that everyone went to bed because we were really tired
Day four
get out of our bed and start packing up because on the last day of camp we packt up and had breakfast,after breakfast we had some free time but after that the bus arrived to bring us back to reremoana school
day four was also the last day of our camp at peter snell youth village and we had a very nice camp so that is why i want to thank Gordon and Pattie the owners of peter snell youth village
