My collage.

COLLAGE

I am leading a busy
I am watching my life pass by so quickly
I had a great superman toy but it got lost in the bows of my room.
I had a loving grandmother but she was taken away from me to soon.
I thought of climbing trees and reaching the clouds
but now at 11 I know at half way gravity takes its toll.
I have seen sun sets over beaches.
I have heard choirs singing in chapels on christmas eve.
I used to think I was invincible but I know I'm truly not.
I know  growing up is hard.
I know it's bad for me but I can't resist the smell of the rich dark chocolate.
I don’t know why people abuse animals knowing that they can't do anything about it.
I detest people with a dark heart.
I hate people who cheat at games.
I love reading.
I love sweets
I used to love trees but now I despise them
I’ve lost friends close to me.
I’ve lost friends that can't even come back to even say hi.
I’m looking for a place to start.
I’m looking for a meaning in life.
And my heart is small but that means it has room to grow.

 COLLAGE

I am leading a relaxing life
I am watching the a fair bit of the Super 15
I had some really good chocolate
I had some really cool shoes but but I lost then some how
I thought the world was full of peace
and now, at the age of 12
I don't think that is true
I have seen the world change
I have heard people highjacking planes
I used to think chocolate came from the ground to the surface
I know how to tie my shoes
I know what 1+1 is

I don’t know why my shoes are lost, maybe because I did not clean them
I detest bullies in schools
I hate people that act "Cool"
I love my dog, Almo
I love my family the way they are
I used to love chocolate but now I know how bad it is for you
I’ve lost my shoes
I’ve lost my tooth because it slipped down the drain
I’m looking for peace in the world
I’m looking for my tooth I lost down the drain
And my heart is open to everyone

How Does Orienteering Works?

Orienteering is an all year round sport. It involves a map, controls and the following skills; sprinting, reading a map, patience and thinking. Orienteering can give you future skills in life.

In Orienteering your best friend is your map. It shows where your controls are and where to go. On your map you will find a legend that shows you what different things on your map mean. To get to your destination you have to orientate your map to something that stands out wherever you are. To make sure you have the right control, on your map there will be the following; the number of your control, a short description of where the control will be and a colored line in the direction you need to run in.

Whilst competing in orienteering you need to run hard between controls but also have patience. Once you reach your control, check it, clip it, orientate your map and go. If ever you may get lost stop, look at your map and find your control. A control looks like a peg. On top it has a stamp with sharp points to clip through your paper. This shows you have visited this control.

Orienteering can give you valuable skills in future life. For example; if you ever are hiking in a bush, you will be able to look at the site map and know where to go. If you're driving and get lost you will be able to read the road map and know where to go and how to orientate it. It also an make you stay fit.

Orienteering is a fun, exciting sport that involves running hard and being able to read a map. Always remember to orientate your map, keep calm, do your best but overall... have fun!

   THE OUT BACK

Oil leaked from the engine covering the ground in a sloppy black liquid. Fire was spreading over the planes hull sending smoke high above the trees. The plane was divided into three sections when it hit the ground in the Australian outback. Ryan and Andrew were the only survivors were now getting their supplies before they headed out into the rain forest. “Get that pocket knife . It’ll be useful.” Explained Ryan picking up the last of the biscuit. He knew a lot about surviving in the wild and staying alive.
Now was his time to shine.
Thats enough. we don’t want our bags too heavy.” There was a river near by but it was too fast. Ryan had learned that coconuts could be used as a floatation device as they can float in the water for up to a year. “o.k. Andrew get some coconuts and some extra for eating.” Ryan scavenged around for a long bamboo stick as the bass of the boat. He cut holes in the bamboo to weave the leather he got from his jacket .Then he tied the coconuts on the same way.”we can use these sticks i found as paddles.” said Andrew. “but theres still one thing left. does it float?”

The raft shot down the rapids at speeds up to 65 mph. Hanging on for dear life Andrew stabbed his paddle into the water to slow down. There was a loud crack as his paddle snapped in two. “Ryan! My paddle broke!” He screamed.
“We have to slow down down or we’ll crash into the rocks ahead!”
He was right, going at that speed could be fatal and they’d come too far to lose. “Ryan give me your paddle and some leather.” Andrew shouted getting the paddle.
He tied it to his paddles handle with the string and chucked it at a nearby tree. The raft was yanked sending them both above the tree tops. Then it went black.

Slowly Ryan’s vision came back and he realised he was on a log. Andrew was holding onto him as well as the log. Land could not be seen as far as Ryan could see as his back was broken in three places. “Andrew. Andrew where are we?” moaned Ryan.
“We’re at sea. Its o.k.” Said Andrew.
“Theres a cruise ship nearby. You still got that flare?”
“Yep. My back hurts do you mind if you do it?”
The flare was covered in water but it worked.” We got one shot. Here we go.” Suddenly the sky was lit up by a bright red light. Then in the distance they could just here the sound of the cruise ship honking. Now their adventure was over and now all they have to do is wait for the cruise ship to pick them up and take they home...

How Orienteering works

Orienteering is a all year round sport which challengers your mental and physical abilities. Orienteering is based on the following; Open land, Forests, Reserves and other rough tureens.

The first thing you need to know about Orienteering is how to use the map. In this pacific sport you receive a map that has something called a legend, the legend contains a symbol of a particular object. It can also help you mark out where the next control is.

An important thing is the controls. Controls locate where you have to run. The controls are a very part of Orienteering. If you only run to one control that is not the control you are looking for, you may be disqualified from the competition. If you don't want be want to be disqualified, look at the side of the map which would have numbers and there would be the same number at the control.

In addition to receive a great time you have to run hard and push your self to the limits. When you from control to control you run as fast as you can as well as going the fastest way possible even if if you have to run through a stream, as long as its in the boundary.

Many say that Orienteering is a very rugged sport, but if you do it right and run hard you will have the time of you life.
