This year I really enjoyed being in Mr Fourie class. My high were mostly my learning , sport and camp , and my lows were not getting into the volleyball team but that is ok.

Why:

 I chose this topic to speak french because I want to live in pari's when I'm older. I think speaking a different language is a really cool thing to do. Maybe someday when Im when Im a pro at speaking french I can teach french.

What:

What language I want to lean is to speak french.I think french is a cool language to speak. The cool thing is if you want to speak in privately you can speak in the language you know.

Information report about CAMP- By Eden

CAMP!

Camp, fun, challenging and hard work. What a fun time at Peter Snell village.There was lots of cool and challenge activities. The activities that I really enjoyed was; initiative course, rock climbing and camp cook ,and the challenging activities was Abseiling, Air riffles and Archery.

First of all we hop in the bus at 9:00 to 9:30 it was an 1:30:00 mins. When I saw snow planet I knew we were  close to Peter Snell village. First we got our bags and went around to the back of the camp site. I look around at the view and the mountains in the distance. We sat down and talk about the rules and the camp site.

The first activities for the cookie minion was Abseiling everyone was so nervous but we all went done. Later in the day we went done to the water slide it was our first time going on the water slide but it was so COLD!!!

On the second day wee did the initiative course,  rock climbing, Archery and camp cook That was fun.

And on the third we went to snow planet. Snow planet was so cool and fun! I really want to go back Callaghan broke his arm and Jansje broke her leg. 

On the final day we had a big clean up. We left on the bus around 12.30-ish and got at school at the end of lunch time. I fell asleep on the bus. When we got out of the bus Mr. Fourie said we can have a little rest and eat the left over food. Yum!That was my first year 7&8 camp and i really enjoy it. I would like thank Mr. Fourie and Mr. Munro and Peter snails village.

Kaitlyn makes 234 cookies for her family. She packs them into 7 packs how many 7 packs will she get.

She is bubbly and funny and nice, loves hanging out with her friends aswell as smart. All these things and more about the person I am describing.

She is bubbly, funny, smart and nice. We can make her laugh easily and likes to read. You can make good friends with her.

She has brown hair brown eyes as well as wavey like the ocean. She wears earrings that sparkle everyday I see her. And very pretty. And is a year 8.

Many schools use there spear spaces for something useful like;playgrounds for little people,some were year 7 &8 can hang out and lodes more.That is why I beleave year  7&8 should have some where we can hang out rather than leveing it as a wast.


Firstly,we should have it for leaning so if it is a nice day we could get permission from our teacher a take your pen and book and write out there.Or even hang out with our friends. As well could have an umbrella.

Secondly,when we go out for lunch little kids gets in our way which is so anowing.anther reason is when we hopfuly get it,it will be only year 7&8 which would be awsome.

Finally, we never ever use that for anything,all it dose in winter is get muddy and we get dirty"YACH".

So now have I persuaded you to for the year 7&8 should have there own little space.

Where am I?-By Eden

As lightning appears in front of the big round shiny moon looking down at us, as the captain drives the ship pushing through the smoky fog they see a beautiful young girl stuck under a long thick brown branch. She saw the ship, she was worried.

The girl is 14 years old, her name is Sarah. Sarah loves her family and animals, she comes from the palace as well..

As the pirates grabbed the young girl and wrapped a piece of fabric around her mouth. They drove away after 20 minutes the moon started to make a weird sound. But then suddenly the moon disappeared. The pirates were wondering whats happening.But then they heard a crack, it was a ship and as soon as they knew it the ship disappeared. The pirates didn't know what to do except for the captain, he was swimming and swimming as the young girl held on to his foot.

After 250 k of swimming they reached a shore. They were lying on the sand saying "were alive" then they stood up and looked around, they took three steps to see if there were any traps. Then they started to walk and look around, they found old bodies and heaps of gold coins. They turned around and said "WHERE AM I?"

Photography what I have learned-by Eden

On the 8 and 9 of  July year 7&8 had technology on Monday and Tuesday, there was four actives to choose from there was electronics,photography,graphics,and food.I choose photography and this is what I learnt ;possum,mouse,giraffe and the rule of thirds also using iphoto.

On Monday we all learnt rule of thirds.Rule of thirds is the lines going across and down your camera screen,it is to help you take your photo.If you want it to be a good photo put the lines on going across and down that is called rule of thirds.Try and get the main thing going down the third line going down to get a good photo.

On Tuesday we learnt possum,mouse and giraffe. The possum is staying the same high as you are and taking the photo,mouse is going down low taking the photo then giraffe is getting up high and taking The photo.

We also learnt how to use iphoto,to download the photos of the camera and how to edit the photo you download.We all learned how to edit the photo and change the colour of the photo. In conclusion I really had fun at photography.

NETBALL

Netball is a girl sport,but some boys can play.If you want to play netball you have to know the rules,where your allowed to go and have fun.

First of all if you want to play netball you have to know the rules.There are a few rules in netball here a most of then;steeping,contacted which is obstruction ,you have to be three feet away from the person how has the ball and if you bounce the ball more than once that is reply ball.

In netball there is seven players on the court at time and usually two,one or three subs.The positions are C,WA,WD,GA,GD,GS and GK.The positions that you have to be fit at is C.The middle court players are C,WA,WD,GA and GD.

`In netball you have to learn the skills .You have to know how to pivot,run,jump and most of all know were your going.Another thing is to move into space.

In conclusion i think playing netball is great and fun, and Im looking towards netball in my future

Science- Explanation Writing

How Friction Works.

Friction is a force that slows things down and creates heat. In a car there is oil to help prevent objects (such as an engine) from overheating. This is called lubrication.

Friction makes things slow down and heat up. For example: when you are riding on your scooter and you stop pushing, friction is what makes you slow down. If you weren't wearing shoes and you put your foot on the brake, your feet would burn because of the friction of the brake and the wheel rubbing together.

What would happen if friction didn't exist? Firstly, if a car was driving on the motorway and it suddenly needs to stop, it won't be able to because friction wont be there to help it slow down. Basically friction is a big part of the world.

Oil can make friction less powerful, that is why you find alot of oil in motor vechiles. Using oil for that purpose is called lubrication. Lubrication helps alot in these senarios; to stp cars from overheating and to help things move smoothly. If an object has certain edges on its surface the oil will run on them and they will work better.

Friction helps in everday life. It works with gravity and lubrication to reduce the dangerous circumstances of itself. Overall, you could say friction is an important facet of our lifes.

How does Orienteering work?

Orienteering is a all season sport that contains a map, controls and a lot of thinking and running in between.

The map has keys and symbols to identify where to go. It also shows the boundaries and where to start and finish.  The map is very helpful in Orienteering but you also have to orientate the map to the direction you want to head to. The map has coordinates that help you find your way back to the next control.

The controls are what you need to keep a look out for to stamp the pattern on your map where it will say1, 2, 3 and so on. It will usually go up to 15-18 controls. It also has numbers on the controls to show what is your answer and if it is the right control or not. 

Also you will need to think and run hard in between. The thinking is for a

strategy you will face to complete the stamping on the controls the running is to get to the control and get a good time.

In conclusion orienteering is a brain working hart pumping sport played world wide. However despite the mud and whether [ if raining ]
