How netball works

Netball is mostly a women's sport that is played all around the world. The objective of the game is to score more goals then your opponents. To do this you need the following skills; running, jumping, passing, catching, defending, shooting and the ability to get away from your opponent. It's not as easy as it looks (talking to boys), there is a lot of stratergising and rules involved.

Netball is played on a concreted court. It is split into thirds. The end thirds have a half circle on the base line finishing about 1.5 meters from the side of the court. In the middle of the half circle there is the goal. This circle is called the goal circle ( only goal shoot, goal keep, goal attack and goal defense are allowed in this circle). In the middle third there is a circle with a 90 centimeter diameter. This is called the center circle. It is used for the starting set up of the game. There are 7 positions in netball. Goal keep      (GK), Goal shoot (GS), Goal defense (GD), Goal attack (GA), wing defense (WD), wing attack (WA), and Center (C). Center starts with the ball in the center circle, facing center is wing attack with her/his opponent wing defense. On the other side of the same line is goal attack with her/his opponent goal defense. In the goal circle stands goal shoot with her/his opponent goal keep. The same set up is behind the center but with the other teams attackers. On each sideline is a referee. Also on the sideline will be supporters and coaches and managers.



When the hooter starts for the game, you need to use your skills to be open so the center can pass to you in the third. Once you or one of your team mates receive the ball they need to be able to pass it to another one of your players. Once the ball is in the circle your shooters (GS, GA) are eligible to shoot the ball into the hoop. When it comes to defending you need to be able to; follow (stick with) your opponent, jump for intercepts and rebounds, have the skill to read the game (know whats going to happen next) and to communicate all the time for who you go have got (in other words; who you're defending, if it's the goal shoot or goal attack or a different attackers). But, to play (along with skills) you need to know the rules.

Finally, to play netball you need to know all of the rules. First of all, netball is not like basketball, for many of these reasons; you can't step with the ball, once you receive the ball you have three-seconds to release it, when defending you must stay three feet away from your opponent, if you were to throw the ball up and catch it again or continuously bounce it several times it's called replay ball. Be careful when throwing the ball because if it goes over a third, without your player touching it, it will be a turnover ball. Positions you play have certain areas they are/aren't allowed to go (which is shown above). The games consist of four quarters, each 15 minutes long with about three minutes break in between.

Netball is an exhilarating sport that involves a lot of skills, rules and stratergising. You can interact with people, grow your leadership and co-operation values and you never know, you could turn out to be the next Silver Ferns (New Zealand's netball team) captain!

How Rugby Works

Rugby is a fun outdoor game that is played by many people it is on a saturday morning or night. Rugby will get you moving and motivated in the mornings.

Rugby is a game that is played on a saturdays. You will have to have a lot of strategy to beat your opponents. The objective of the game is to score more try's than the other team. When you score a try you have earned your team 5 points then you covert the try with a kick each kick is worth 2 points. but if you get a penalty or a drop goal it is 3 points. 

Before you start the game you will warm up with your coach/s and do some sprints with press up in  between them and some squats. When you are about to tackle someone you have to remember 3 steps on your toes, head up and most important of all move into the tackle and make the tackle. When someone runs out or kicks it out there is a line out. In most grades from under 11 they contest in the line outs but they don't jump they just grab or hit the ball to the half-back. Then the he gets it to the first-five then it will get to the wing from the centre. And next there are the scrums.

When a player knocks the ball on we have a scrum. A scrum is when both teams fords  bind up, put there heads down and push in some grades from under 12 and up but they do everything you would do to prepare for next year. And the same happens again except that the half-back puts the ball in and gets it out to the backs. And if you get tackled you have to place the ball back for the half-back and I know what your thinking the half-back has a lot of jobs and he does but there easy.

Despite all the running and hard work and also getting muddy rugby is a fun outdoor game that will get you moving and motivated in the mornings.

How Basketball Works

Basketball is a high intense game. The objective is to dribble a ball across the court then score into your goal but therefore trying to defend the oppositions. Basketball works best in a team and a lot of passing will be needed.

Basketball is played either indoor or outdoor with a clearly marked court with two hoops on each side. Each of the two teams will need to wear a special uniform for sports so the referee can tell them apart. A well pumped basketball is all that is needed to play this game. The subbing rotation for this game is quite different for this game as each time the coach wants to pull off a substitute he will have to tell the score keeper. The only time you can can sub off is when the ball goes out or if its a foul. When it is a goal subbing cannot be allowed.

The rules in basketball aren't as strict as most games you play as it is a contact sport. There are many types of rules that are simple to break for example double dribbling, you catch the ball then dribble after you dribbled, traveling take more than three steps after catching the ball, carry ball when you cary the ball while dribbling. Fouls are only if you hit someone on the arm while trying to get the ball. Every player as the maximum of five fouls however if the maximum fouls are reached you will be subbed off for the rest of the game.

The positions in basketball are very unique as they are not like any other sport because there are differently named. The positions are the following; point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and lastly center. Point guard moves freely all around the court they can also score. Shooting guard stays at the goal until halfway and is the shooter. Small forward is wing same as power forward. Center is as normal in the center.

Overall basketball is a very enjoyable sport that many people play it as a hobby or professionally (NBA). i really enjoy basketball because it keeps you fit and it improves your large ball skills.

How air soft works

Air soft involve alot of skill and technique to master it as it is a brutal game. It includes a gun, be-be bullets and a team to fight because air soft is like paint ball. There are different games like; team death match, capture the flag and elimination but you do have to have good accuracy.

The guns range from snipers and assault rifle to shotguns and grenades firing little plastic balls powered by gas. The gas is found in the guns magazine where you can easily fill it back up again. The pressure is so strong it fires in a dead straight line which cause all the bruises and cuts from the bullet. Also there are grenades that when the pin is pulled it fires a round of be-be pullets in every direction hitting the target multiple times.

In addition to the top paragraph each gun is needed for a different game. Shotguns are used for close range games, snipers for long shots, pistols for a secondary weapon and assault rifles for medium range shots. These different categories play their own part in the different games. Yet no matter how good your gun is you still have to hit them and that comes down to attachments. You can buy red dot sights, silencers, scopes and extended mags.

Air soft can be painful and will leave you in agony but the feeling when you hit someone almost clears all the pain away.

On friday morning we were all getting ready for a swim day!We all got our gear ready.(some people had school bags and others had swim bags) After morning tea, room11 and room 14 all met on the courtyard meeting the parents who were driving us to the pools.


As soon as we got into Sykes road we were ready and prepared, we headed straight  to the changing rooms and got our togs on. We met outside the swimming lanes and sat down and talked, finally we got started. It was year 7's freestyle, that was me! Their were confident swimmers and not so confident swimmers. The races were split into sections, 25m freestyle, 50 m freestyle, breast stroke, butterfly and backstroke. Some people do huge belly flops and splash on the surface of the water.

After that we played a couple games like hoolihoop chain, pass the ball and after that we did relays such as freestyle, doggy paddle and get the ball without touching it. Room11 won! We had a great day, I can't wait till next year.

Rugby Union

Rugby Union is a competitive game that requires skill, strength and agility.

If you didn't no every four years tournaments are held. Such as British and Irish lions and the RWC. The New Zealand All Blacks have won twice with the following teams South Africa and Australia England have only won once defeating Australia 20-17 by a famous drop goal by famous fly half Johnny Wilkinson in an overtime thriller.

Rugby all began by a guy named William Web Ellis. Legend has it that he was playing Soccer with a group of friends and picked up the ball and kicked it out on the full for no reason. Rules for Rugby a simple. If you drop the ball it leads to a simple knock on letting the other team pack a scrum and possibly scoring a try. Or entering the ruck incorrectly can to a kick to touch. If your in your own half. Or if your in the opponents half you can penalty kick for the 3 points.

Point scores for Rugby a simple if you get a try you will get 5 points. Drop goal will give you 3 points so will penalty conversion as well. Conversions will just give you 2 points after scoring the try. The TMOS replay happens in which the refs are  confused if its a try or not. They also have sideline refs to help the main ref decide if the player went out or not and also The New Zealand All Blacks a currently the best team in the world.

I think Rugby is an awesome sport sport and should be a popular sport around the globe. Because thats how awesome Rugby is.


Golf And How It Works

What is golf? Golf is a sport that is played all of the world. Golf tests your mental and physical ability. What you need is; a set of golf clubs, and a golf club to play at. I will be going deep-in on what is needed to play golf like; Managing yourself, how to putt etc.

Golf is a game that you can't just walk up to and try it a ball a mile. People that do that, don't know how to manage themselves. Its very dangerous if you do that because you can hurt or even kill people. A good place to get you ready for a golf club is to go to a driving range. A driving range is where you can  practice your golf and to start to be "safe" and know how bad been silly on a golf course really is.

One of the things in golf you need to do well is to putt. People think that putting is easy but really, it isn't! Mini putt-putt is the worst way to practice your putting skills. Why?, do you really think you are going to have a windmill on a golf course. The best way to practice your putting skills is to play some golf! It the best way possible!

Lifeskill's, if you play golf, you will get alot of them. One of the great things about golf is that you learn life skills. Life skills comes in handy. Respect, Say if I make a divot, I would pick it up and place it where it was.

We were all getting excited when group a for team sports got told that we had cricket that afternoon. We all headed out to the field, I was ready and prepared for a good game, until we got to run around the field.


Anyway, we finished and were ready to play the game, room14 were on batting first. In case you didn't know cricket is a game where everyone is against the batter and must get him/her out. There are fielders, bowlers, batters and one wicket keeper. There are usually two lines on a cricket ball( that is where your fingers go!) You try and bowel the ball towards the wicket.


The backstop is a person that if the batter misses the back stop will grab it and try and get them out. Same as the fielders.


We were really confident in our abilities and guess what.... we got wasted. Even though we lost, I still think it's a really great game.

Netball is a girl sport,but some boys can play.If you want to play netball you have to know the rules,where your allowed to go and have fun.

First of all if you want to play netball you have to know the rules.There are a few rules in netball here a most of then;steeping,contacted which is obstruction ,you have to be three feet away from the person how has the ball and if you bounce the ball more than once that is reply ball.

In netball there is seven players on the court at time and usually two,one or three subs.The positions are C,WA,WD,GA,GD,GS and GK.The positions that you have to be fit at is C.The middle court players are C,WA,WD,GA and GD.

`In netball you have to learn the skills .You have to know how to pivot,run,jump and most of all know were your going.Another thing is to move into space.
In conclusion i think playing netball is great and fun, and Im looking towards netball in my future

Why We Need Exercise

Exercise is a type of way to stay fit and healthy. Exercise has all different types of ways to do this activity. Its also a way to become stronger and gain stronger bones/mussels. Sports is one of them.

Exercise is in every sport. Sports keeps you fit and helps your mussels,bones and brain. In sports you need to exercise to keep going and not stop when your halfway to the finish. Sports has the most exercise included in any sport that you or your friends play such as; soccer, netball, tennis, basketball, swimming and athletics.All these sports include exercise and it also helps with your heath.

Exercise helps with your heath. It helps your running by improving the amount of oxygen to breath to keep your energy up. It also keeps your body in great shape if you train hard enough to get there. If you don't train hard enough you will take a year to come back into the correct weight limit for your age. Exercise helps your brain with learning too.

Learning is apart of exercise. It helps you with your learning so in class you can be the smartest if you exercise. Don't over exercise to be the smartest or you will probably die because your heart over powers.

In conclusion people need exercise to stay fit, healthy and smart6. But if you don't exercise you will become fat and be teased about your weight. There exercise for a healthy and great life that will be a lot less complicated

How does soccer work

Soccer is a team sport that includes a circular ball. It test your brain, footwork and fitness abilities. Soccer is manly based on parks and fields. Soccer works on the following; rules, players in the right possessions and the right gear. 

Soccer needs rules otherwise the game would be a mess. Soccer has two main rule named fouls and handballs. The fouls are when a player either trips up one another or hurts another player. Handball is when touch the ball with your hand and this affects the game. Both of these rules when performed cause a free kick. A free kick is when the ball is placed on the ground and the player can kick the ball to his decision.

The main part of soccer is possessions. There is defense which stay next to the goal to defend the ball going in. As well as striking which shoot the ball into the opponents goal. And also is midfield which are all over the field defending and striking. 

In addition to play soccer you need to have the right gear. The gear you need are soccer boots, shin pads and socks. The soccer boots have metal objects named sprigs which are at the bottom of your shoes that look like spikes to help you grip.  Also you need shin pads that protect your shins from people kicking you.

Most people around the world love soccer and hopefully you love it to.

King Ball

King- ball is a game that we play after lunch time in the hall. king- ball is a fast game that has sponge balls, cones to mark your area and of course people.


King-ball requires four classes to play but you can also have two or three classes to play. You can even have on class you just need to split them up.


The rules are simple first there are the four classes from the kereru team they have a king and a queen. When the teacher blows the whistle the king and queen have to throw the ball to one of there team mates and stand in the conner of their square until everyone is out. Now if you get hit with the ball inside the square your out but you keep playing outside of the square and you can move around to get closer to the other classes. When your whole class is out the king and queen come in and when they get out the whole class is out.

Why we need exercise?

Exercise is very common throughout the world and is done daily if you want the full effect. It involves exercise machines that allows the fat in your body to burn up like ; weights, treadmills and also self exercise. Without doing exercise or fitness for about a fortnight, more and more fat will grow in you and you'll become bloated.

To start off with, self exercise is a exercise that you don't need to use a machine, only your body. Sit ups and jack knife helps with the chest and thigh, push ups help with the muscles in your arm and burps help with your carve muscles. You can do these any place, any time as you don't need anything ales.

In addition to the last paragraph you don't need to just do self exercise all the time, you could join a fitness club. Fitness clubs are big gyms containing exercise machines that you could just jump on at any given time. But you do have to buy a member ship card before you can enter on your first go. Yet most the time its all filled up.

Last but not least not doing exercise could be fatal. Don't freak out if your fat as you have to be really fat for it to kill you. The more calories that are in your body the bigger you get. To much could squeeze your heart until it gives way. Doing exercise heats up your body burning the calories one by one till you are fit and healthy.

Exercise is the key to a healthier body and if it wasn't discovered humans would be no more. Thats why you have to take care of your body or you would be standing on a motorised vechile, unable to move.

Why we need exercise

We all need exercise to keep fit if we didn't have exercise we wouldn't be able to fit in our chairs we ould be that fat


we need exercise to keep healthy. being healthy is a big part of our lives if we weren't healthy we would probably die at a young age like 25-30 years old. And beside if your fit and you really like sport you will do good at it. 


If you play sport like; rugby, soccer, netball or basketball you will have a lot more fun and you will do good at it. but if your not fit you will get really puffed. And who want's to be slow when you can be as fast as lightning. And you will also loose a lot of body fat.


In conclusion you need exercise to keep fit and healthier you.

Why we need exercise

Exercise seems to be the one thing that no one really wants to do.
Exercise requires  a good attitude a healthy diet and the will to achieve your goal
Exercise helps the body and brings a good attitude.

We need exercise because our bodies need it.
Exercise gets our heart pumping and blood running.
Exercise also slims our bodies down causing us not to get fat/
It causes our bodies to run further distances than before.

Exercise also helps you better in sports.
You tend to run in sports quite often ;
soccer,netball, rugby, and basket-ball.
Exercise allows you to keep up with the person you have to defend.
Also in most sport's fitness levels is the key thing to get in, in sports.

Exercise is very much vital for us.
We need it and it helps you allot in sports.
Personally I love exercise and fitness because it helps allot and I Improve so much every time.




Very last day of school

It was a cold and wet winter morning at 11:30 am, At the bad school of bad people rain hitting the roof. everyone from the school had gathered to watch the school blow up. all the students where really excited and also because it was the very last day of the school.


The man that was blowing up the school was a cowboy named bob watterson. He had a big round cowboy hat and a ripped red sleeveless shirt and black cowboy boots. He also has a large majestic handle bar mustache but all he did was stare at it. And then the students started to chant blow it up!!!!!! over and over again and straight away he snapped out of his little dream. AND THAT'S WHEN IT HAPPENED....


As soon as he took his eyes off that mustache it jumped off his face and stole the cowboy gun it scared everyone off by firing some shots into the air. then it dropped the gun and grew 1 more arm and 2 more legs and ran away. when everyone was back he told them a story about this happening before but never like this. 


So they all went to the science room and bob said "we need to fight fire with fire" "what do you mean won't that just burn the school down" said one of the students "no you dummy I mean we make another mustache to try kill my mustache then we will blow up the school" "yes" "lets get on with it then I want to blow up the school"said one of the students..... 2 DAYS LATER they had finished there master piece. So one of the children had to go out and put it on the streets. No one could decide who would go so the played shortest straw and a boy named jonah got the shortest straw.


So he went out to the streets and placed down the mustache and then he ran as fast as he could back to school when he got back everyone was watching something on the t.v. He asked what they where watching and bob said "where not watching where tracking the mustache" and it seems they have just crossed paths. why didn't t attack him it's observing it.  The next pass it'll attack him, yahoo a big fight. It has begun the finial battle.( 1 hour later) zZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZ The fight had gotten boring but one person was still awake it was bob the final battle had been won by our mustache. Then they all went to the position of the mustache and smashed it to bits. 

But unfotunatly the school had gained money and they didn't get to blow up the school.

A game we like to play in the afternoons is kingball. Kingball is a simple game with simple rules, each class picks two representitives known as  the king and queen.


The king and queen start off with two balls, then they try to throw them at the opposite team.When everyone gets eliminated , the king and queen come in, you have to be the last one standing to win. If you have a ball you can defend yourself also you can dodge attacks if you don't feel safe.


You must work together if you want to succeed. If you seperate and their is no one looking after you, the most important rule is not to cheat.I think that even though it has lots of rules it is still  a great time.

Why We Need Exercise

Why we need exercise? Well, its simple! If you don't why, at the end of the explanation you will! Exercise come in many forms of ways like the following; Sports, P.E, Going to the gym, etc. Exercise is the best and only way to keep your body fit and healthy however if you don't exercise regularly, you will just get fat then fatter and even more fatter.

How can I exercise? There are a TON of ways you can exercise. One of the most exciting ways you can exercise is by playing a sport. There is a HUGE range of sports you can play like; Rugby, Swimming, Netball, Golf, Softball and a whole more! A sport is a great way to keep you off the Xbox and running outside! For me, sports is the key.

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for yourself but it can be really boring. The way to beat that fact is to bring a friend that is keen to get fit and be healthy. It is proven that if you have a friend along, you will be more "into" Fitness.

Going to the gym is a great way to get fit. Theres everything you need there but I wont go to the gym at my age. Choosing the right foods to eat can make a HUGE different in for fit you are. Cut down on foods like theses; Deep Fried, Sugar, Salt ect. If you do that, your on track to success.

If you do that, you are a winner!

Pumping the iron

Exercise is a method of keeping your body fit and healthy. To acheive this goal, you can also eat lots of fruit and veggies. but today i am talking about exercise.

There are many different types of exercises for different parts of your body. Like for  your legs; Burpees,Lunges,Stretches and many other exercises. The go to exercises are push ups and sit ups. You can also stop at the local gymnasium or get your own private physical trainer. You can also have protien shakes, which can help your vitimans process alot more quickly and this helps you gain a balanced and healthy diet, which also adds on to your fitness level.


Daily jogs around the block are an excellent way of keeping your body nice and healthy. Many different people use different techniques. Such as cardiovascular exercises which helps you not get as puffed out, if you run around the block, I think fitness is a a great and healthy way to keep your bones and muscles strong for your future needs. Who knows you could be an olympic athlete or pro-sports athlete. Trust me, it really works.

The haunted mystery

I remember the day like it was yesterday, the blood-curdling screams, the blood on the walls, the only problem was we didn't know who or what did it? Here is how the story went, it was the annual sleep over at school, the school was fine at day, but night that is a different story. It was dark and gloomy and you can see the creepy shadows outlining the courtyard. The creepy moon was red evil.....


We got our sleeping bags and gear and got ready for a night in the school hall, everyone was excited, that was except for me. There was a rumor that our school was built on a haunted graveyard.  My best friend is called Jenny, she isn't afraid of anything. That night was like every other night talking,chatting but something was setting me off. Maybe it was the fact that the floorboards were creaking, or maybe the dark hooded figure I keep seeing outside the broken and dark window. I was hearing stories about the creepy janitor called Garrett A.K.A the germ.


There was chatting for hours and hours on end, until suddenly it was dead silence, which was strange, I looked at the beds. I was shocked to see that no one was in their beds except for the creepy hooded guy with a knife was in Jenny's bed. He picked up his knife and charged at me, but i dodged him just in time and he slammed in the wall.


He was knocked out cold. As he was out i saw a key card on the floor, and right in front of me ,I noticed a hidden door. I tried to push it open, but i couldn't, that's when i realised there was a card slot. I swiped my keycard and the door automatically popped open. My face was frozen still when I saw a whole pack of ghosts( the rumors were true). My chest nearly burst open when i saw what looked like a hive, and worst of all, everyone from the school was there. The ghosts then came charging towards me, but strangely they didn't attack. They explained to me that the germ was their protector, I was not listening to them, I grabbed a coin from my pocket and flicked at the ghosts. Stupid mistake, it went through him and out the other side.


I quickly escaped  just in time and i jumped on the platform next to the slimy,sticky, oozing with puss hive.I made the worst decision of my entire life. I began to bite a hole out of it. I was tearing away at it frantically, when I stopped i realised everyone manage to clamber out and was charging with all sorts of stationary. it just went through them. Germ came charging at me but the school bully risked his life and tackeled the germ into the fire. The ghosts pushed everyone into the fire and they all died. Except for me I snuck away and hit the self destruct button. I just jumped out of the gate in time before it exploded. It has been known as the death school. No one visits the school, until one day a crazy old chinese man lived in that house.... good luck for the old chinese man.

Why we need exercise

We all need exercise in our lives to keep as strong healthy and fit for activities in the future .

To start with. If you a dreaming of growing a six pack like The Rock. You need to get off your lazy butt and start running to get your body skinny and slim. Eating 5+ a day and drinking lots of water will give you just a little short cut. To grow muscles going down to the gym wont hurt. Start lifting weights to burn some calories and start running on that treadmill as soon as you no it you will have six pack like The Rock in no time.

Eating healthy will give you something back in return. Doing all your hard work in fitness it can expand your lifetime to just a bit longer sometimes if you a lucky enough you can live until you a 100 years old. Because you a so skinny and slim sports might come into mind. Sports such as Rugby Soccer Netball and Volleyball. Because you a so skinny and slim you will be playing the best position for any game. Even Basketball and Netball

I think exercise is a big part in anybody's life. It is really good for your health and like I said you can live up to 100 years old. 

How does orienteering work?

Orienteering is an famous all season sport that includes: a map, codes, time and speed. In this particular sport you need to use your brain but most importantly you will need to know the skills of orientating the map.

First of all orienteering includes a map and codes. Orientating the map is the most important thing you need to do in orienteering. The aim is to orientate the map so take your time, the map is your best friend. The map has some numbers printed on them, those numbers start from one and so on depending on how many codes there are. You must follow those numbers because they where your codes are but also keep in mind that you can take short cuts to save time when needed. On the bottom side of the map there are keys, those keys describe everything there is on the map which means that those keys help you in case you get lost. Another important skill in orienteering is speed.

In addition to orienteering you need to develop your skill of speed. At the end of the race you get a certain time, that is important in this sport. At the start of the race every second person takes off 30sec and than the third person would take off 1min and so on adding 30sec. If you get some codes wrong you will need to add on time, the maximum of codes you can get wrong is 3 and no more than that. The person with the fastest time goes to the Auckland champs where you compete other orienteerers.

Nevertheless orienteering is a fun, energetic all season sport that includes these following skills and if your good enough you could even go to the Auckland champs and compete other students. That is how the fun sport orienteering works.        


Why do we need exercise?

Exercise is an important part of our life so obviously we need it. Why? Because of the following reasons: You get healthy, fit and you feel better about yourself.

First of all exercise can help your body working right. It can help your heart, bones and you can breath better, you don't even need to worry about catching diseases. A person should at least go training in the mornings and afternoons. Exercise can be jogging, sprinting or even walking. In your body the muscles  absorb oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide into your bloodstream. There are a lot of other positive things that exercise can help you with including keeping you fit.

 In addition to this exercise can positively keep you fit. You get less lazy and more active. You can do more things and you can positively improve your fitness level that you'll be surprised to see that you can be could enough to join clubs and play some real sport. The final reason of why we need exercise is that you feel good about yourself.

In contrary to this you feel good about yourself. Knowing that you have burned of some calories and have balanced your weight most people feel good about themselves. You get a weird but pleasant feeling. People can even push themselves to do more exercise. Exercising also keeps you in a good mood, maybe not just after you train but after a few minutes after that you get a pleasant feeling.  When some people age their backs go dense not because they age but because they don't do enough fitness.

Over all fitness can help people get healthy, fit and you feel good about yourself. Those are the reasons why we need fitness, it's an important part of our human life.

                              Why We Need Exercise


Exercise is a way to keep your body fit, healthy and fresh. It involves hard work and can be done in many different forms. Such as; playing sports, running and weightlifting. It can improve the way you look, feel, your attitude, stress levels and your cardiovascular system.

Exercise can be done in many fun, but hard working ways. Firstly, exercise can be a way to interact with other people. You can do this by playing a team sport. Playing a team sport can give you values in cooperation and leadership. If you want to look good you can start lifting weights or doing  muscle work such as; sit ups, pushups and squats.

In addition to looking good, exercise is also extremely helpful to you. If you are going through a rough time, exercise. It can keep your stress levels down. Even though you may feel like you're going to die while exercising, after finishing and showering you will feel fresh. It can make you stronger, fitter and more motivated.

Also, while exercising and building up your muscle strength, it is working with your cardiovascular system. One things is, when exercising you breath in ore oxygen which goes to your lungs. Number two, your heart beats faster which pumps clean blood around your body, then it travels up to your brain. This is excellent for learning.

Exercise can be fun and hard work. It nourishes your body, keeps it healthy, stronger and can release stress levels. You feel fresh and good about yourself after. Your body can get the exercise it needs in many different ways and you never know, if you push yourself and work hard it could lead to success.

The rapids Part 1

It was a warm spring day in Spring Lake. 5 friends decided to go white water rafting. James the youngest decided to get the raft, Daniel decided to get the ore's. Lilly and Eden decided to get the safety gear and Dane decided to get the food. Spring Lake is a peaceful place to have things like; Picnics, swims, and a place to soak up the vitamin D. But if you beyond the sky scraping trees, and the lushes mountain sites all the adventure is hidden in plain site. Suspiciously someone was lurking in the woods.

James is a 21 year old guy living the dream (his version). Ever since he was six he always wanted to get into the Olympics, to represent his country for white water rafting, he always dreamed of his parents to be their along the way but sadly when he was 11 his parents died in a hit and run car accident while going to get him from school. Now he lives in a pent house over looking a gaping city bustling with life.

As all the gang hops into the little yellow raft they say say""Goodbye" to the peaceful meadows that lie just in front of the cool blue lake, and said hello to extreme waters. They slowly paddle off to go to the RAPIDS. As the group take deep breaths suddenly slipping into the raging rivers, they twist and slide and try to get the boat straight but every time they do it slips away. As the mysterious figure pulls into the raging river the group don't notice as the shady figure as they zoom past and in a flash he's after them. As the boat twists and turns Daniel catches a glimpse of their pursuer as he notices he catching up to them. He tells everyone to paddle faster and faster they go but as Daniel looks back he see's nothing but then a BANG knocks everyone off their feet and into calm waters. But it's only when Dane looks up he see's a man dressed in black from head to toe they all let out a giant scream.......................................................................
                    Why we need exercise

              Exercise is a way of getting and staying fit it is a way of making you strong, lets just say its
              a warming up sort of sport its hard to say completely what it is but listen, it gives you  
            Strong bones and more it keeps your body fresh and strong, if you are unfit all you need is a 
            Healthy diet and lots of exercise. In exercise you do lots of,
            Either lots of running, using your arms, stretching, or even playing games outside.
         
            Exercise keeps you fit and healthy so that you can get a good place in cross country,
            run lots in your sport, go for nice long runs, push heavy objects and get nice strong bones
            , you need exercise in life or you wont really get anywhere, and you wont fit any nice clothes     
             And you wont want to be carrying that fat waistline around. To start, try walking around the 
            block, play tag with you friends, you can even push the mess out of your room to build some 
           Muscles or help mum bring the shopping inside. Join a sports club its very good, like 
           swimming,  thats very good for your whole body, soccer, gymnastics, netball,  hockey, 
          volley ball and more.
      
           If you eat a bit of junk food or sugary foods you will really need exercise no matter what age
           You are or else you will become  obese, if you a little chubby now, exercise will make you more     
           Skinny faster if you start exercising. Exercise is the key thing for leading a healthy life along 
           with fruit and veg,  exercise is very helpful for your lungs to breath clearly, your heart pump nice 
           and fast, the faster you go the heart goes along with you, exercise is very good for all of your 
           body.

           Exercise is very good, if you push yourself, not to much, but the amount you need you will wizz 
           through with it, exercise is good if you do the right amount but not to much, you could really
           Hurt yourself. Exercise gives you a longer life, a very healthy life, don't forget fruit and veg to 
           help you, a fit, obese free, your heart pumping and more, you may find exercise tiring, loss of
           a little breath, and a red face, maybe saw muscles, but get fit, you'll be fine, its very good for
           everyone so go on get on that tread mill, lift those waits and eat more fruit.

Friction is caused by a couple of different things such as; two objects rubbing together, and gravity. Friction also causes; objects to slow down and heat up.

When you get two objects that are bigger than the other and rub them together they get hotter. With somethings such as; dry wood you can rub them together until they get so hot they start a fire.

Friction and gravity are a force that works together. Such as; when you kick a ball you can't expect for it to keep going because the friction slows it down and the gravity pulls it down

Friction is a force that you need in life. If you don't have friction nothing will stop.

What is friction?

Friction slows an object down with the help of gravity. It is a natural force between 2 things that rub together. Lubrication is one way to stop friction from over heating the objects. To reduce lubrication you could use oil, water or a polished surface.

If you have 2 tiles and smother them with oil and flip one tile over to show the smooth side on the top and the other on the bottom, you would think that the smooth sided one would slide better than the other one but your wrong. Because of the smoothness on the tile it moves slower than the jagged surface, on the bottom of the other surface in tred ( grip ). This causes the tile to move faster because of the air gaps in the middle of the tred.

Gravity is like a gigantic magnet that pulls us down to the ground. If you were to kick a ball on the moonit would keep on going forever, if you kick a ball on earth it would be slowed down by friction and pulled down by gravity. Gravity is caused by the giant megnetic on the core in the middle of the earth. Because of the magnetic core it causes a magnetic field around the earth that pullsin from space. Usally it pulls in like particles that collide together that causes the aurora lights. Magnets can be found on the ground or on metal.

Friction is a natural form thaat slows you down while putting heat on the object that it being slowed down. To make friction you will need a soft and hard material cause heat wich makes friction. Friction happens everywhere like: on scooters, cars, bikes, matches e.c.t. Friction causes things to slow down or stop. A car that travels at 100km an hour will take 128 meters to stop if the brakes are applied.

How Friction Works.


Friction is a force that slows things down and creates heat. In a car there is oil to help prevent objects (such as an engine) from overheating. This is called lubrication.

Friction makes things slow down and heat up. For example: when you are riding on your scooter and you stop pushing, friction is what makes you slow down. If you weren't wearing shoes and you put your foot on the brake, your feet would burn because of the friction of the brake and the wheel rubbing together.

What would happen if friction didn't exist? Firstly, if a car was driving on the motorway and it suddenly needs to stop, it won't be able to because friction wont be there to help it slow down. Basically friction is a big part of the world.

Oil can make friction less powerful, that is why you find alot of oil in motor vechiles. Using oil for that purpose is called lubrication. Lubrication helps alot in these senarios; to stp cars from overheating and to help things move smoothly. If an object has certain edges on its surface the oil will run on them and they will work better.

Friction helps in everday life. It works with gravity and lubrication to reduce the dangerous circumstances of itself. Overall, you could say friction is an important facet of our lifes.

How does Orienteering work?


Orienteering is a all season sport that contains a map, controls and a lot of thinking and running in between.

The map has keys and symbols to identify where to go. It also shows the boundaries and where to start and finish.  The map is very helpful in Orienteering but you also have to orientate the map to the direction you want to head to. The map has coordinates that help you find your way back to the next control.

The controls are what you need to keep a look out for to stamp the pattern on your map where it will say1, 2, 3 and so on. It will usually go up to 15-18 controls. It also has numbers on the controls to show what is your answer and if it is the right control or not. 

Also you will need to think and run hard in between. The thinking is for a
strategy you will face to complete the stamping on the controls the running is to get to the control and get a good time.

In conclusion orienteering is a brain working hart pumping sport played world wide. However despite the mud and whether [ if raining ] 
GIVE IT A GO and i will promises you will enjoy it
